BHT acquires Blue Rocket

Brighton Housing Trust (BHT), a charity for homeless people, has acquired PR business Blue Rocket for an undisclosed sum.

East Sussex-based Blue Rocket delivers PR for clients across the country and owns Green Rocket, which specialises in environmental campaigns. The deal is designed to generate additional income for the charity, which will continue to focus on tackling homelessness, says BHT chief executive Andy Winter.

As part of the deal, Blue Rocket employees will remain at the firm including account director Vicky Hoad, who is responsible for its management. Founder and former owner Kim Stoddart will act as a consultant.

BHT generates revenue of £9.5 million and employs 245 staff across Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings.
