Pomona Capital, which specialises in the private equity secondary market, has recruited Mark McDonald, formerly of Barclays Capital, as an investment associate.

Pomona Capital, which specialises in the private equity secondary market, has recruited Mark McDonald, formerly of Barclays Capital, as an investment associate. His appointment will strengthen Pomona, which has offices in London and New York and has a £323 million fund to invest.

The company has built up a team of 19 investment professionals and is keen to expand fast in Europe. Director Brian Wright says ‘we aim to be the buyer of choice for quality private assets’.
