Crescent Capital led the funding round, with existing investors Clarendon Fund Managers and Siemens also participating.

Axis Three, which has offices in Northern Ireland and the US, has used image capture technology developed by Siemens, together with its own software, to create its medical modelling and simulation technology.

Current applications are available for facial and breast surgery, while possible future uses for the technology include three-dimensional gaming.
