Aggregate Industries builds on business

Aggregate Industries has purchased family-owned gravel extraction and processing business Bucbricks for undisclosed terms in a deal that strengthens its offering in the specialist sand market.

Keith Thompson, operations manager, remains with the company, managing operations at the Bucbricks quarry as well as helping at Aggregate Industries’ nearby Ardleigh quarry. All of the Bucbricks’ employees involved in the sand quarrying part of the business will be retained by Aggregate Industries.

Woodfines Solicitors acted as legal adviser to Bucbricks on the sale of the whole of the company’s sand and gravel extraction and processing business to Aggregate Industries.

Its team was lead by corporate partner Peter Mount with commercial property associate Brian Bennett dealing with all property matters.
