Dave Amoriell, group president of Affiliated Computer Services’ transportation solutions division, says, ‘The acquisition of Spur complements our business by giving us the ability to sell affordable, highly adaptable parking services that better meet the needs of all size cities across the globe.’

Financial details of the deal are undisclosed.

Malcolm Snowdown, managing director of Hampshire-based Spur, is leaving the business, together with all the other shareholders.

Says Snowdown, ‘After nearly 20 years running the business, the other shareholders and I recently made the decision to pursue other interests.’

Berkshire-headquartered firm BCMS Corporate advised the vendors on the deal.

Spur Information Solutions provides ticket permit management services to organisations including Transport for London and various local authorities.
