Access Intelligence makes smart Solcara deal

Worldwide software and computer services group Access Intelligence has acquired Solcara, a UK search and information management company from ArgentVive Plc, for £750,000.


Worldwide software and computer services group Access Intelligence has acquired Solcara, a UK search and information management company from ArgentVive Plc, for £750,000.

Worldwide software and computer services group Access Intelligence has acquired Solcara, a UK search and information management company from ArgentVive Plc, for £750,000.

The acquisition is in line with Access Intelligence’s plans to focus its business on providing “software as a service”.

Middlesex-based Solcara specialises in developing software to search, identify and analyse information for legal and professional firms as well as in the media relations, crisis management and information access sectors. Its clients include Visa and Thomas Cook

On completion Solcara is estimated to have net liabilities of some £250,000.

Michael Jackson, Access Intelligence’s Executive Chairman, commented: “Solcara fits in well with our existing businesses and we see a number of cross-selling opportunities with other group companies.”

The managing director of ArgentVive, Ray Jackson, has resigned and been appointed as a non-executive director of Access Intelligence.
