Clydesdale Bank backed the multimillion-pound deal, which strengthens AVS’s position in the market through the acquisition of one of its key suppliers.

Anderson Anderson and Brown LLP provided financial advice to the management, continuing a relationship that began with the MBO of AVS led by Sylvia Aitken and Gordon Whyte in 2006. The AAB team was steered by partner John Black and included Eliza Bellamy, corporate finance senior manager, and tax partner Graeme Allan.

Bellamy said, “The acquisition will enable AVS to continue to build on the premium service they provide and create a one-stop shop for the design, manufacture, sale and testing of valve packages. We look forward to working with Sylvia and Gordon in the future.”
