Bottomline Technologies in UK purchase

London-based Direct Debit Limited has been acquired by Bottomline Technologies, which provides payment and invoice automation services.

London-based Direct Debit Limited (DDL) has been acquired by Bottomline Technologies, which provides payment, invoice and document automation services, for an undisclosed amount.

Bottomline Technologies, which has its headquarters in the US and offices in the UK, will use the acquisition to improve its global payments capabilities, according to a statement released by the company.

DDL provides payments and receivables automation services to organisations such as HSBC, L’Oreal and Manchester United.

Rob Eberle, president and CEO of Bottomline Technologies says: ‘The addition of Direct Debit’s solutions is an important and valuable extension of our suite of global payments.’

In a similar acquisition, Bottomline Technologies today announced that it had also bought the principal assets of Business Information Technology Group (BITG), an Australia-based Bottomline distributor.
