10CMS secures £1.6 million from Octopus

Octopus Investments has committed £1.6 million in development capital to e-commerce software developer Curlet, which trades as 10CMS.

The business, which is based in Cork, Ireland, and has offices in London and New York, provides online retailers with interactive content management systems that enable websites to be accessed across desktop and mobile platforms, and on social media including Facebook. Clients of the business, co-founded by James Brooke in 2006, include Tesco, L.K.Bennett, and Jimmy Choo.

Brooke says the investment provided by Octopus will fund the development of the product and build the sales and marketing team.

Jo Oliver from Octopus, comments that the business is well placed to face the ‘ever increasing challenges of attracting customers online’.

He adds, ‘The team at 10CMS have done fantastically well to develop market leading technology which already has impressive commercial traction, and we are looking forward to partnering [with] them to [achieve] significant further growth, both in the UK and internationally.’
