The 39-year-old Havers has spent more than seven years with GBCP in two separate stints and possesses, according to group chief executive Mike Proudlock, ‘the sort of dynamic leadership skills that we believe the UK team will need in the coming years’. In his new role, Havers will oversee the completion of deals of between £5-£20 million in the business services, healthcare and industrial sectors GBCP targets.
Following Havers’ appointment, 31 year-old James Benfield has also been promoted, becoming the youngest director in GBCP history. Former UK boss Mike Fell, meanwhile, will remain with the group with a focus on deal-making.
