Adecco takes controlling stake in DNC

Human resources company Adecco has completed its public offer for Dutch staffing firm DNC. Adecco now controls 99.8 per cent of the company.

  • RSH Plc, a PLUS-quoted media and financial services group, has acquired the remaining 76.8 per cent of Oilbarrel.com, a website offering news and insight from various stock exchanges. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.
  • Balfour Beatty, an international engineering, construction, services and investment group, has announced that its subsidiary Balfour Beatty WorkPlace has bought Colledge Trundle and Hall. The automatic energy control systems specialist was acquired for £2.85 million.
  • Hertfordshire–based commodities investment group Commoditrade has acquired AMCO Management Services, the controlling partner of AMCO Commodities LLP, a commodities fund manager, for £4 million.
  • British defence and aerospace company Ultra Electronics Holdings has acquired Blue Sky Group, whose principal trading entity is Dascam Consulting, a defence consultancy in the Middle East. Ultra will pay an initial $19 million (£12 million).
  • ESI Group, a global supplier of digital simulation software for prototyping and manufacturing processes, has acquired Vdot, a software venture focused on development process management, from US company Procelerate Technologies. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.
  • MKM Group, a promotional marketing firm based in Altrincham, has agreed to acquire Australian loyalty and sales promotion venture Leapfrog Group in a cash-and-share deal.
  • Bahrain-based Seera Investment Bank has acquired Manchester-based BWA Water Additives for an undisclosed sum.
  • Deal in the pipeline

    • Murgitroyd, a European patent and trademark attorney group, has entered into a non-binding heads of terms agreement with a party, which may lead to an acquisition by the group.
