In today’s deal headlines London-based Libra Holidays has bought sister companies Argo Holidays and Jetlife and H&T Group plc has bought two pawnbrokers in the northeast
Done deals:
• H&T Group plc has bought two pawnbrokers in northeast England for an undisclosed sum
• Falkirk-based roadsweepers Applied Sweepers has been sold to US-based rival Tennant for £34 million
• PLUS-listed Global Entertainment Group plc, has raised £1.3 million through a share placing
• Lombard Risk Management plc has sold its valuation business, Independent Value and Risk Services to NYSE Euronext subsidiary LIFFE Holdings plc for approximately £700,000
• Dexion Absolute has raised around $263.2 million (£134.2 million) through a share placing
• Edda Media, the Norwegian division of Mecom Group plc, has sold its Direct Marketing activities in Norway to Posten Norge and its Swedish operations to InterMail for a combined total of NOK51 million (£4.8 million)
• Bank of Scotland Corporate has acquired a 20 per cent stake in Wales-based supplier of vehicle tracking systems Quartix while providing a debt and equity investment totalling more than £12 million
