Using a patent-pending, context-based step-up authentication methodology, AimBrain is helping some of the world's largest financial institutions know if their users are really who they say they are.

Chief commercial officer, Peter Reynolds explains how the start-up plans to scale up.

Deeply rooted in the transaction banking and technology markets, Peter Reynolds, Founder of UK-based Mikumi Capital, is firmly focused on bringing high-tech companies to the financial services market. A flagship investment of the Mikumi portfolio is AimBrain, a multi-modality biometrics and authentication technology provider.

A founding investor in the firm, Reynolds works hands-on with AimBrain as their chief commercial officer. Prior to launching Mikumi, Reynolds was the managing director of EMEA sales for Fundtech where he grew revenue for the firm by 300 per cent. Reynolds has a demonstrated record of high growth in new, existing, and highly competitive markets for companies such as Reval, Thomson Financial, and HSBC.

At Reval, a global SaaS provider of treasury and risk management solutions, Reynolds led business development and client retention initiatives in Western EMEA. At Thomson, Reynolds was responsible for the corporate treasury sales division in the UK, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Nordic region.  Prior to his work at Thomson, Reynolds was part of the corporate trust and relationship management team at HSBC.

A diverse and well-respected thought-leader in the market, Reynolds holds a business law degree from the London Guildhall University.
