Casper, a provider of products and services to SMEs, has made its second acquisition since it was established in June after it bought King UK, a distributor of non-food products to the licensed trade and catering sector.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed; funding was provided by receivables finance specialist Enterprise Finance Europe (EFE), which will continue to support the growth of the business.
This deal follows Casper’s acquisition of Industrial Supplies in Peterborough seven months ago, which was also backed by EFE.
King UK was sold by vending and food services group Autobar after its directors considered the business to be non-core to its European operations.
Casper was advised by accountant Royce Peeling Green with Peter Buckley leading and Jon Rayman from law firm Kaye Scholer’s London office. EFE received legal services from Mike Yardley at Mace & Jones.
King UK provides glassware, sundries, disposable cups, tableware, cutlery, lighting and stationery among its products to the licensed trade, hotel & catering and leisure sectors throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
