Online gaming company 888 has acquired Wink Bingo from internet gambling business Daub for up to £59.7 million.

Wink Bingo runs several online bingo networks including Posh Bingo and Bingo Fabulous and has some 60,000 active players. The Gibraltar-based company generated turnover of £15 million and pre-tax profits of £1.3 million in the 11 months to November.

Gigi Levy, CEO of 888 Holdings, said that the deal would be earnings enhancing and would expand the group’s footprint in the UK market.

In the six months ending June, 888 reported revenue of $117.9 million (£73.5 million) and pre-tax profits of $14.9 million.
