The Lancashire-based firms were acquired by Kevin O’Keefe and Graham Hewitt, managing directors of The AA Group and Metaldeck respectively, after they secured the backing of The Royal Bank of Scotland.

The companies were sold by Alan Price following his decision to retire. Price established The AA Group in 1978 and Metaldeck eight years ago.

The AA Group specialises in the design, fabrication and instillation of steel structures and reported a £12 million turnover last year. Metaldeck supplies steel decked and concrete flooring to the construction industry.
