Overview

Finch Capital is an early-stage venture capital firm focusing on Europe and South East Asia. They are thematic investors in fintech (financial services, real estate, insurance) and deep tech (AI enabled transformation, security, IoT), across B2C, B2B and B2B2C businesses. They invest in verticals that include marketplaces (e.g. deposits, lending, tax, auto, legal), security (e.g. fraud, network, firewall), online distribution models (e.g. mortgages, insurance) software (e.g. AI-focused SaaS, data management, payments) and IoT (application layer). The fund does state that it will invest €0.25m to €15m over a company's lifetime.
There are 10 in the team, split between London and Amsterdam. They invest $0.5m to $5m with a minimum stake of 15 per cent. The fund was founded in 2014, and supports entrepreneurs who: challenge the status quo, aspire to build sustainable stand-alone international businesses, intend to solve a real problem through its idea or product, have a superior product in terms of cost or experience.
